A friend of mine asked if Bonnie had started pulling ornaments off the tree yet. I told her that we didn’t even have the tree up yet, and it didn’t really feel like Christmas.
That’s unusual for me. I love Christmas, and I love taking all the time I can to celebrate Christmas. This year has been too much distraction from Christmas.
But tonight, we have Christmas tree. We have a curious cat seeing a Christmas tree for the first time and chasing ribbons as they go on the tree. We have an older cat who is still curious and still loves to chew on tree. (Dork.) We have two nieces who will be delighted in the morning to see a surprise Christmas tree spring up next to the dining room.
It’s closer to Christmas now. One more day down, and one day closer to being finished with school and being able to relax.

The Holidailies writing prompt today was to write about a charity to consider for the Holidailies Charity Project. This year I participated in Potterthon, a Harry Potter-themed Blogathon team. We blogged for First Book, a charity that “gives children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books” (from the Charity Navigator site). I think it would be nice for web writers to support a literacy and reading project like this one.

I’m just blah tonight. I got Tums tonight and the heartburn went away, but I’m still disturbed by the whole day being so physically stressful. Sleep will be nice tonight.
